books need hockey line feel free to call...

that doesnt address issue why i wonder it takes the 'experts' so long to figure out what we already know...and since the money bet on pucks is limited, the first book to post a number will usually get most of the action.

They probably waited longer this morning to avoid another 40 cent move against St.Louis that held up Sunday vs Detroit. Since hockey is limited they probably don't feel the need to rush on a line. First action is usually right more than wrong so I can see a books delay on key player question marks.

well, since we knew who was in/out last nite thats pretty weak. if its me i put numbers up esp. since the books have other games which they put up where they have no clue who's playing and who is not. and they have other games which move. face it, the limits are so low its lame to not put up the game(s). AND they have all the next day to adjust price and get some buy-back.

Bobby you are at it again. Who cares who puts what number up when? Like you say the first up gets the play so its a competitive issue. I am not a book, but I respect their right to run their business as they choose. What if its game 7 of the Finals and the great Bobby Bryde says "I pass on it", do you want book managers heckling you online saying "what a weak ass that Bobby Bryde is passing on the biggest hockey game of the year, if he can't decide and needs a play write us an email and we will tell you who we like". I don't think so. Let them be, they will post plenty of numbers to choose from and will run their business as they please.

okay i apologize for being "at it again". just grown weary of watching outfits leaving game(s) down (see last week) and when ask why they say "so-and-so is questionable" meanwhile we know he is in or out. if bb passes on a game it wont be because he is too lazy to do the work.

by the way if interested that game flies over tonite.

Isn't that a good sign Bobby if they tell you they don't know if someone is going to play and you do? I doubt it happens these days, but if you can get that kind of info then you are sitting pretty.

I tend to play overnights during the weekdays to avoid missing out if I get busy at work and I notice that there are always a few games that are not posted overnight for NBA and yet there rarely are non-posted NHL games with the books I play. I don't think lack of posted numbers is much of a problem and as I say if they don't put one up I just move onto the next game and act like the other one isn't even being played. No use getting upset or anxious over one game, I think most of us realize in a game determined often by a lucky bounce or lucky play as hockey is, there are no big values on the board that we can't live without.

slim: not first time been on wrong side; not last.

bill: yes it is good sign for bettors when those putting up lines have no idea what is going on, but sometimes i just get pissed when they pretend they know what they are doing. and trust me, you arent the first to tell me to keep my mouth shut and just take their money!
